Crozet held its annual Independence Day parade on Saturday, July 6. The theme this year was 'America the Beautiful.' The Parade's Grand Marshall was Mr. Carroll Conley.
The parade included multiple fire companies, veterans, the Shiner's ACCA mini patrol, the Albemarle Pipe and Drum band, tractors, politicians, and free water to help out the hundreds who lined the street in 90-degree temperatures.
The parade started at 4pm at Crozet Elementary and went down Main Street, and ended at Claudius Crozet Park. The parade's arrival at the park started the Independence Day festival which included music, food vendors, pony rides, a softball game, a beer truck, a wine truck, and inflatable slides. To finish off the day, fireworks were set off at around 9:30pm.
Donations of $5 per car were asked at the gate of the park to help pay for the parade expenses.
